Confirmation: contracts have arrived and payment made, so I can confirm that my story "Clean Up Your Room" will be translated and available on Podgeschichten, a German podcast site. There are so many ironies in this I am afraid to walk near a magnet, but it delights me nonetheless. All this from an anthology that was born when I snarfed a gin & tonic at MagicCon lo these many many years ago...

Meanwhile, I, and the opening chapters of BLOOD FROM STONE, have been CGAG'd. It didn't even hurt. Much. Good comments, and apparently yes, this will be a good book for newcomers to jump into the series. Yay! Side question: Are there writers groups out there that meet without the aid of either food or booze? If so, why?

Random TV-ness:

Love, love, love 'Pushing Daisies.' Yes, it's silly. But also surreal and sweet and ironic all at once. Killer combination. There's no one moment I can pick out -- it's just all...nice. In the non-sarcastic, non-derogatory sense of the word.

'Bionic Woman' is still keeping me amused, mainly because the writers are clearly having fun. "And don't even get me started on how objectifying this whole 'bionic woman' thing is." The crazy people really do get all the best lines on this show.

and 'Life' is still enchanting, especially with the partnership gelling.

"are you really zen?"
"zen-ish."

and the bit about the fence was just...yeah. Lovely.

In other news, there is no other news. *is patient. mostly*

ohhhhhh..."Clean Up Your Room" in German?! My male alter ego makes it to the land of my ancestors...LOL

And I am seriously digging all three of those shows too. That fence bit got me as well.

I was lucky enough to get to sit down last night and watch exactly the same slate of shows -- didn't love the first ep of PUSHING DAISIES, but I did love this one, yay! BIONIC WOMAN amused me as well, and I'm a sucker for Mel Ferrer anyway, regardless of plot. I'd never seen LIFE but it totally sucked me in. What a unique and interesting character! My husband Cat kept asking, "Is he crazy? Wait, he's living with an ex-con? Wait -- " lol. I said, "He's eccentric. Hang in there." By the end, he liked it as much as I did.

P.S. -- we should talk about the anthology we discussed back at ArmadilloCon. :) I have time now! I'm only working a paltry 27 hours a week at the day job!
