I was never a huge fan of Forever Knight, so having less angst in this pleased me. And the opening 'interview' cracked me up, as does his best friend-the-financial-bloodsucker. But OMG the love interest set-up was SO annoying, and why oh why did they have to give in to the standing-on-roof-long-coat-in-breeze-pondering-unlife thing? I so didn't respect them in the morning, after that.
And the fight scenes were lame. Seriously. Post-Angel, we know how to show superhuman-strength fight scenes that actually work. Why did they not pay attention?
I've already, I fear, given this show more brainpower than it deserves. Here's hoping 'New Amsterdam' is more interesting....
