Minneapolis check-in

For those following the Minneapolis news, there is a check-in site for local fans and pros.

I am relieved to see names I know on the list of those checking in, and selfishly hoping not to know anyone on the list of the dead. If you live in that area and haven't posted, please do!


Damned infrastructure. I live in apprehension of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York following suit, every time I drive over it...

I used to be kinda freaked out driving over bridges. Three solid years of crossing the Tappan Zee twice a day cured me of that ... but now I'll be thinking twice again, I'm sure. Especially since I have driven over the I-35 bridge in Minneapolis several times, most recently only two months ago.

And of course I always give a thought to the Mianus River Bridge when I'm driving 95, too ... yeeeeeeeeeeep.
