lagilman: coffee or die (the general warned me...)

The great thing about the freelance life is that there isn't a Monday, as such.
The crappy thing is that there isn't a Saturday as such, either.

I leave for Paris in 23 days and I'm only now starting to think about what I want to do while I'm there. Who is this person and what did she do with Laura Anne?

*flails madly*

However, much was accomplished today, if in a rather meerkat-manic mode (there was a knock on the door, and a man stood there. "Hi." Pause. "It's Dan." Pause. "Your landlord?" "Oh, hi! Sorry, I'm...a little distracted today..."). Words were written, contracts reviewed and signed, and laundry done. Yay!

And tonight the reward is settling in on the sofa to rewatch THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING over pizza (EtA: pheasant pizza totally rocks the house) and red wine while the rain comes down outside. Life could be worse....

EtA2 -- the credits for TFotR run almost as long as the movie. And Pandora likes pheasant. At last, we find her weakness!

Man, I wish *I* was going to be in Paris in 23 days. I miss Europe, damn it.

Heh. Merci.

The icon for this one is actually keyworded "Boulmich" - which is where I was sitting when my husband took the photo. Down near the south end, near the Luxembourg, at the Montparnasse end.

What to do in Paris is easy. Drink wine. Eat cheese. Drink coffee. Eat croissants and pain au chocolate. Walk much. Don't look up too much or you'll step in dogdoo.

Well, you could go back to my May LJ and re-read all my effusive musings ...

Specifically, though, lunch at Musee D'Orsay was in a spectacular space, as was lunch at Georges, which is on top of the Centre Georges Pomidou, entirely glass-walled, with views of Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, and Sacre Coeur.

And take the train to Chartres and here Malcolm Miller lecture in English about the windows, as he has done for 50 years. Not Tuesdays.
