lagilman: coffee or die (burning bridges cover)

For those of you who might be attending, or know someone who might be attending, I will be signing BURNING BRIDGES (and anything else put in front of me) at Book Expo America in Manhattan, June 1st at 11am.

I will, apparently, be sharing the time slot with Caridad PiƱeiro, Heather Graham, L.A. Banks, and Donna Hill. *facepalm* I'll be the one with the t-shirt that says "no, you don't know me. want a book anyway?"

(for those of you who don't follow such things, Heather Graham is a NYT and USA Today bestseller, award-winning author with over a hundred books to her credit, mostly in romantic suspense and various supernatural-friendly genres. I am not even close to being in the league next door to a league that's close to hers, in terms of name recognition)

Wooooo! I'm hoping to get into BEA again this year. That was a fine time.

But you're the one I DO know!

I should be able to go to BEA, but I don't know which day. And I won't until right before.

I would know you if I was there. And yes, I do want a book. (I love the t-shirt idea. I've sometimes worn a button that says, My Name is Beverly Hale, you won't have heard of me). sigh. I used to feel more upset about it, but when I worked for CJ Cherryh I discovered there were SF Fans who had no idea who she was. Made me feel sooooo much less anonymous.

I will be there too. Only all I know about it is I will have a pen and presumably a POSTER of Life is Ridiculous- that's it. So, maybe we can get a 2 for 1 on that T-shirt order. I'll bring you an extra pen too.

I loved the back cover copy! Thanks for such a great job. Nope, it wasn't Lucienne as I know her well. Either way, I hope we'll have a fun time doing the signing. I signed at the Harlequin booth last year for the launch of Nocturne, but I haven't been part of one of these special themed hours. Not to mention the great company we are sharing.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Caridad

Hey, good luck. I'm sure folks will know who you are! FYI, Heather Graham is a really nice woman. She was one of the writers I went to Scotland with back in 2002.

*snort* If I make it, you'd be the only one in that lineup that I did know.

My first signing as an about to be released author was against Neil Gaiman.

I rest my case. *g*

Have fun!!! Manhattan! I'm so jealous!

Ummmmmm. Color me ignorant, but I don't recognize a single one of those names. So as far as I am concerned, you are the most famous writer in that block!

Are you going to be doing an inbooth signing again or at the autographing tables? I got your autograph at '05 BEA and I'd definitely like to pick up a copy of Burning Bridges.
