You watch David Letterman's recap of New York ComicCon 2007... and lose track of his jokes because you're so busy trying to see if anyone you know got caught on-camera.


OMG, this guy who's on now? The Sports Illustrated guy? Funnier than most stand up comedians.

"It's more than an essay, it's...what is it?"
"It's a book proposal, Dave."

*dies*

(okay, it's probably only really that funny if you worked in publishing. But trust me, it was painful-funny. And probably true, and I actually hope so because there may be a book there, and... right. Not editor any more. Not my deal. Dia, feel free to chase him down.)

Bummer. Guess I missed it. I got caught up watching the Bob Woodruff story on Nightline, and then it flowed into Jimmy Kimmel, who's supposed to be having Steven Wright (who I love). Sadly, he had Tracy Morgan on for way too long, and Wright's only coming on now, after the commercial.
