You look so sweet and innocent in that second picture! I can't think why Chickie always hides behind me. (She was hiding from Bear, too, all weekend... silly shy girl!)

http://www.factorycard.com/vr4-web-site/catalogservlet?productId=1590017 . I think it's $60 there, which is one of the better prices I've seen.

That's a boiled dead one, it's easy to tell because of the color. People with non-dark skin get red skin from sunburns and such, lobsters turn red/red-orange when cooked. Live, their colors have a lot more blue and black (for a while, back when the Commonwealth was flush with funds, there was an initiative to do lobster research proposed, to collect blue lobsters and study the life cycle of lobsters (not much is really known about them, that they're cannibalistic's known, but mating, spawning, lifespan, maximum size, lots of habits, do them migrate, how many of them are there and where, there are lots of unanswered questions about). All-blue lobsters are appropriately rare that they would have made good study subjects. Alas, the program got aborted because the economy went downhill, tax revenues dropped, state government expenses soared, and the funds didn't materialize/weren't available to do such a research program.

Oh, that much I knew. I was referring to the pose, not the colour; there's something singularly unappetising about the way the one in that photo was arranged for the camera.

I shall stick with salmon.

That makes it even worse, kinda sorta. Impromptu "ewww" is much nastier than designed "ewww", in my reaction spectrum.

Scary thing, I love lobster. I might have to stick with served outside the shell, though, from this point on. Hell, the MS has me clumsy with the shell-cracking implements anyway.
