novel_in_90 sitrep, week 4

A third of the way through, and a progress report:
22,953 new words on the project, averaging 820 words a day.

This doesn't include work done on the outline, or the short story that ate most of one day.

I am not displeased. Slow and steady, with occasional, unlooked-for bursts of wind to my sails.

Of course, there are still 72,000 words to go. But I'm on my way....

*dies* Yeah, that's pretty much my writing day, except I also have the hourly push-off of overly-inquisitive felines...

Urk. Just ... urk. Thank you. I will now cherish the moments I spend paying bills.

I feel so pleased with myself. I wrote more than 700 real words yesterday, on no coffee, and didn't have to throw the cat once. Not going for the novel in 90, just trying to finish the one I started, um, don't remember when.

I'd be doing more, if THE NIGHT SERPENT weren't still chewing up some of my brain, along with some client-work. As soon as I get the read-through and polish done, I'll be able to up the pace a little. One more week, I'm hoping...
