lagilmanWhile working on a seemingly endless freelance project, I typed "legal rats" instead of "legal rates" and flashed back Doyle's to "Our rats are low" speech.
The meerkat, she is tired. And she hates this particular project with a passion that would be fierce if it weren't so bored.
Oh, as EBear says, the glamour, the glamour of the writer's life...
(tonight, I get back to The Books. FOUR DAYS of having no other work-obligations than The Books. I keep reminding myself of that...) ETA: I lied, the project WILL NOT DIE. But I get to put it on the back burner until Monday.
ETA2: The predicted cold snap has arrived, and with it some pretty but useless snow squalls and lots of broken water mains. They're closing some schools in the area tomorrow, because of concern about the 10-30 below zero wind chill temps predicted -- they don't want the kids walking to/from school, or waiting for the bus. Should be a fun 24 hours. I predict the felines will be sleeping under the blankets tonight....
