A loss. We need more DC-jabbers in the world, not fewer.

Isn't he the guy who quit dialysis and eventually got booted out of hospice care for not dying? *checks CNN* Yeah, he is. I read some of what he had to say about that - he was too cheerful about it all for me to get really sad about it.

But we do need more guys like him, yeah.

Dude, I LOVED Buchwald. I remember reading him when I was an adolescent, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and John Lindsey was Mayor of NYC.

Yeah, I read his obit in the Globe. *sigh* I'm getting old.
