I am far more tired than I should be. I blame the coughing.
Writers group tonight got hold of THE NIGHT SERPENT and basically said "yah, is good, keep going." With one suggestion that has kicked me back in my chair and left me going "d'oh."
There was also wine and chinese food and gossip of the socially redeeming and supportive type.
And I wrote another chunk of book on the train home, bringing me to the end of the penultimate chapter, and did NOT find the contract in the mailbox. If I don't look at the mail box until I finish the draft, can I claim I finished before the contract came? (agent has already informed me that it is en route)
In other news, it was cold enough today for me to wear my lovely wool winter coat. Yay! More of this, please. And some snow?
and now I fall over be dead, as tomorrow's going to be another day like today....

Date: 2007-01-11 05:10 am (UTC)Cold is good because it normally presages snow, but cold without snow is no damn fun (it's really tough to make a cold ball).

And now, to go pretend to do something productive.

Date: 2007-01-11 01:05 pm (UTC)Besides, this is New England. Snow season starts the first week of October and ends the second week of April. Any day in-between is fair game.

Date: 2007-01-11 01:55 pm (UTC)As for the coughing: If it's bad enough you might want to have it checked. They've got cases of whooping cough in our area. I'm not sure how widespread this is.
