the good and the bad of it
Jan. 9th, 2007 05:46 pmGood: an editorial assistant (the ever-affable Adam) who lets me know when things (in this case, proofs) are incoming well ahead of time.
Bad: a production department that lies to Adam.
Good: Adam knows that they lie to him, and can take appropriate proactive (evasive?) measures.
Bad: I still have proofs for Burning Bridges that are currently due back two weeks before expected.
Good: Adam is hunting down the drop-dead date, so we can kill it.
I need to buy Adam a drink. Or three. (ETA: or the entire damned bottle)
