Mmm. Hungry now. Found a site that sells rock dove (aka pigeon). Am so very very tempted.

it's not the taste that's the problem, but the almost certain gastro distress and potential medical complications resulting thereof....

(pigeon, btw, is wonderful when made properly. Crisp skin and tender flesh and I was actually glad nobody else at the table wanted to try it, because More For Me, then.)

Pigeon is good. I've only had it once - at a nice pub, called the Caunton Beck, in Caunton, England, across the beck from the ancestral church.
