lagilman: coffee or die (bye-bye)

I have finally accepted the fact that I just don't have the space or energy to maintain the library I've spent the past three decades building (moving three times in two years will drive this point home harder than a sledgehammer, lemme tell ya!).

After putting aside my 'must-keeps' (which fill five full-sized bookcases, so don't think I'm being left totally bereft!) and donating a dozen+ boxes to various libraries, I'm in the process of putting the rest (including a lot of mint-condition hardcovers) up for sale at half.com.

There's very little that's brand-new there -- a lot of the titles are now OP, or hardcover editions of books out in mass market. But if you've got a few holes to fill in your library, check out the listing under "bookmensch." I am mildly obsessive about keeping books in excellent condition, so you can rest assured that there will be no stains, tears, rips, smudges, etc unless specifically noted.

ETA There is also in the listing a non-book item: a Lovecraft Tarot, in the original wrapping. In case that's anyone's Thing... Sold!

Happy shopping!

aww. man, this was my first visit to Half.com, and in the time it too me to find a book I wanted, and read through the directions, someone else had snagged it up.

sigh. guess I'll get that Beagle book somewhere else.

question for you though, why did you go this route instead of eBay? Just curious as I too have books that I need to unload.

Ah, but you can't get stuff to Canada from Half! Or at least, the last time I looked, they were charging equal to whatever i wanted to buy in shipping fees.

Not that I have -room- for any more books right now, so it's probably for the best.

I think I'm a dork. But I can't find your book listing. More instructions for a terminal geek?
