Jack Williamson, 1908-2006
Nov. 10th, 2006 06:04 pmE-mail this afternoon warning us that the aptly-named Dean of SF was near and ready to go was followed a few minutes ago by the update that he had in fact left us.
I only got a few chances to hang with Jack, at various conventions over the years, but lord, he was one of a kind, in personality, in talent, and in heart, and wethought hoped he was going to outlive us all.
