I love my kittens. I am glad that they love me.

I could, however, wish that they didn't feel this insane pride-of-lions urge to sleep on me. Especially when I'm trying to work.


For dinner tonight: rotini, a florentine tomato sauce with spinach, italian sweet sausage, and tri-colored peppers. Simmer, mix, serve. Yum. I didn't even use garlic. Imagine that.

Today was spent provisioning up. Schedule for the rest of the weekend? A rush line-edit. A rush copy job. Making stew. Shopping the outlets with friends. Another rush copy job.

Sleep, alas, does not seem to be on the agenda. More coffee!


Also: Tom Cruise, circa "A Few Good Men?" Totally knocked the socks off, if you like that kind of look. Pity he's bug-fuck crazy. I wonder if there are outtakes from this movie somewhere.

My Small Furry Dictator often feels the need to lie on my head while I'm trying to sleep. As this interferes with breathing, it makes actual sleeping difficult.

I have five cats who all want to be with me when I'm at the computer. This is why my computer chair is actually a bench that used to be at my kitchen table. This way one cat can be on my lap (unless I'm writing an intense scene) and two can snuggle on the blanket on the bench next to me. I also find the bench is very comfortable for working since I can move around a bit. Of course my "desk" is actually the old kitchen table from my grandmother's house. It's nice a big and easily fits my computer, printer, big lamp and an extra cat. LOL Luckily my bed is big enough to hold all five too, but I am tired of waking up to find both arms are asleep from lack of circulation (caused by too many cats snuggling too close.) ;-)
