Hastert (R-IL) admitted in today's Washington Times(1) that he knew about some of Foley's actions. He didn't investigate; he did nothing except try to keep it quiet. This inaction demonstrates a lack of leadership and seriously calls into question Hastert's judgment and character.

As a result of his negligence and lack of leadership, we must demand that Rep. Hastert step down as House Speaker. Conservatives, liberals and everyone in between are calling for a new leader that puts the safety of our children ahead of their own political power. Sign this petition today and join them.

You know the messages they keep refering about keep being described as "suggestive". Have you read those messages? There was nothing suggestive about it. This wasn't a case of just emailing some innappropriately, those messages were flat out sexual in nature. He is coming on to the kid and obviously getting aroused by him. It was totally gross and is reminiscent of the perverted contacts I get from random men on yahoo. Ugh! Gross!!!!

Then we have Matt Drudge of the Drudge report who has gone on to blame the kids for leading the guy on! Now there is a scumbag who needs to be shot for the good of the country. THIS is what the rethuglicans are. The worst of humanity.
