Somewhere in the madness that is this week, I have also been watching tv.

House.

*flails about madly* An imperfect show with some chillingly perfect moments. Medical mystery? There was a medical mystery? I didn't even notice, being so fascinated with the tug-of-war over the carpet... and then they tied it in with the medical mystery in a way that made perfect Real Life Conversation sense.

"You don't have austism. You don't even have Aspergers. You just wish you did so you'd have an excuse not to deal with people."

And yet... the fact that House was able to connect, even unwillingly, with the boy.... I have no idea how accurate it was (Steven? You here? Care to comment?) but it was believable, and sometimes that's all you need.

CSI.

Sara, to Grissom: "That is a level of obsession that gives even you a run for your money." That line just amused me on so many levels. Likewise the air guitar in the autopsy bay.

Otherwise, a total Marg-centric episode, and very well-played. Very effective, and even more fuel for the Yo!blingers, uh-huh.

But what struck me hardest about the ep? The ads for Dexter. Dudes. Anyone out there get Showtime, and feel up to making some EdMats fo a poor, cable-deprived soul?

Shark.

Rocks like a rockin' thing. That is all. I'd fangirl this show if I didn't hate them all so much. Lawyers. Feh. Plus, I know this show is going to break my heart because there's no way this level of rockin' will continue.

No more tv until Monday night. Back to the manuscript for me.

I'll second, third and fourth all of the above.

I see the carpet stuff in House as a nice way to let him grow as a character. The blood stain reminds him of how he can be wrong sometimes. It actually builds on what Wilson and Cuddy tried to do by keeping him in the dark about the Meaning patient. The two of them just aren't savvy enough to get it. Cameron on the other hand ... have to wait and see what they do with that.

I also like what they're doing in both CSI and Shark, carrying elements through from ep to ep. A season-long mystery on CSI? Might give Grey a run for its money.

We figured out what it is that we find different between CSI and Miami. (as I remember, you don't like Miami, fair 'nuff, David drives me nuts in a "lets start a drinking game" kind of way) CSI has been about dead people and cases. Very little CLEAR info on the players. Miami is all about the staff and the cases are very family/collateral damage.

These last two CSI have been about the people and the last bit of the season has been alllll about the people. I'm loving that.

I love Marg's performance. I absolutely LOVE that they, and more importantly SHE isn't afraid to show her as less than primped and perfect. She looked like hell. And I felt wrecked just watching her try to wind herself back into her normal state of mind/life.

Very very good show. We were blown away.

Dexter looks like it is going to be completely messed up. A cop serial killer who investigates serial killers. I'm looking forward to it in a sick sort of way.
