Yeah. Thunderstorm. Sort of like saying Hiroshima was a bomb blast.

Wow. Also, wow.

I don't think it's any cooler outside, but my headache's gone.

ETA: sitting on my (covered) porch, letting the cold rain come down around us, listening to the thunder rumble overhead. You can almost hear the people around town lifting their heads and breathing in the ozone....


(and yes, I'm working off battery power...)

Ain't battery power amazing?
I did the same thing when we had that big storm out here on Long Island not too long ago.
So that hasn't brought down the temp, how about the humidity?

The temps have actually dropped dramatically. I'm hoping this will clear out enough gunk that tomorrow's not so bad as predicted.

I covet your thunderstorm. Despite continued head's up from the weather service, we have no thunderstorms here in Central Maine. And tomorrow it's supposed to hit 90F. With gunk. I'm camping out in the freezer until it's gone.

My folks are in your neck of the woods this week. As bad as it might be, they're still singing hosannas that they're not in NYC.

Reportedly, the thunderboomers have headed south. Prepare for steam to rise from the streets of Gotham...

My apartment's fine. The R train doesn't suck. My office is fine.

The walk to and from the train and the subway platforms: BAD.
