It's hot. It's very hot. It's very hot and sunny, with rising humidity, and there is no breeze.

It is, IOW, my idea of Hell.

I'm not a big advocate of air conditioners, but today I'm thankful for them, yes.
Although will be less so when the inevitable brownouts hit...

We have a bit of a reprieve here in IL today. Only 86 degrees and a bit of a breeze but it's supposed to be back in the hundreds tomorrow. *sighs* We have central air which is taking care of the humidity but the house is still exceedingly hot, we'll be installing ceiling fans as soon as possible but in the meantime we have borrowed every old box, window and floor fan we could get our hands on. In the immortal words of Socrates after drinking the deadly cup of hemlock "Bleck! What the crap is this?!?"

BTW, my daughters and I were perusing our local Borders the other day when we came across the first in the Grail Quest series. My oldest daughter is quite the fantasy buff and begged me to pick her up a copy. So we've added your book as well as Keiths "Dragon Precinct" to our familys "book of the month club" discussions. :)

Oh yes, water and much Gatorade.

Awww you are so sweet. My daughter would absolutely love that! I'll email it to you. Thank you so much. :)

We had a brownout yesterday, here in Manchester, but that was only because one of the transformers on our block was freaking out.

I'm just sweltering and waiting for the weather to break, preferably violently, this afternoon.

There is a severe t-storm warning in effect here in MA; I would imagine they could also come your way. Of course, that would mean cooler air coming in behind them, so I don't mind so much. *g*

It's, uh, not for myself, you understand, but for my computer's benefit, and I, um... does it count if it's not mine? :)

::laughs herself off of her seat:: well, today we got 102 at 7 pm, partly cloudy... I am a BIG BIG supporter of the a/c! We're also nearing record humidity, though none of us are sure what that's from since it hasn't rained in FOREVER. Yay for burn bans and water rationing!
