RT review for BRING IT ON

Okay, is it really bad that I'm depressed that I'm back down to 'only' four stars (out of a possible but very rare five), after getting four and a half for Curse the Dark?
Still. Four stars for Bring it On. And comments like "charming," "as exciting and volatile as ever" and "Wren's an engaging heroine, and it's a joy to spend more time in her world" totally rock my day. :-)
*does little happy author chair-dance, while still maintaining decorum befitting... okay, there's no decorum whatsoever. *
I have celebrated with a pistachio torrone bar. So very bad, and yet so very very good for me... :-)
Note: our own EBear and Sarah Monette also get four-star reviews on the very same page. LJ rocks the house!

You did get a plethora of awesome quotes out of it; that makes up for the loss of the half-star, doesn't it? :-)

And... first review? Did you tiptoe up on it, hoping to catch it off-guard, looking-but-not-looking until your brain said it was okay to process it?
(not that I did anythng of the sort with my first. I had someone else look and tell me.)

Date: 2006-06-01 05:06 pm (UTC)I would have tiptoed if I could have, but I didn't even know it had come out-- so a friend of mine, who is v.v. kind, emailed me the Great Quote and warned me that the review itself was only three stars. Which, understandably, I was bummed about, but after I read the review itself (and the other three YA reviews) I actually didn't feel quite so bad. Way I look at it, I'm going to bag the three stars, and pimp the great quote for all it's worth. :-)
