Opening line of the WiP: "The morning had started badly, with a pint of blood, peeing into a cup, and the usual round of shots."

In actuality, the day started as last night ended, with massive amounts of rain. And more rain. And more rain. Bleah. But needed, apparently, so I won't complain. Much. But could it be a few degrees warmer, please? Not much, just a bit, sir or ma'am?

The cats are most indignant at being barred from the sunporch, although there is no sun.

And, to wish everyone a Happy Bard's Birthday:

When I consider everything that grows
Holds in perfection but a little moment,
That this huge stage presenteth naught but shows
Whereon the stars in secret influence comment;
When I perceive that men as plants increase,
Cheered and checked even by the selfsame sky,
Vaunt in their youthful sap, at height decrease,
And wear their brave state out of memory;
Then the conceit of this inconstant stay
Sets you most rich in youth before my sight,
Where wasteful Time debatheth with Decay,
To change your day of youth to sullied night;
And, all in war with Time for love of you,
As he takes from you, I engraft you new.

We are so deep in drought that I truly envy your music. I shall hope that it ends after a reasonable ground-soaking interval and comes to my neck of the woods, er, semi-arid plains.
