All right, I have a modern-day series with magic, sex, and a demon as the heroine's best friend. And I offed an angel in a back alley.

Why have I not been denounced by some Way Right Wing Xtian preacher-man, banned from junior highs and/or picked up and defended on the Howard Stern Show?

Who do I have to offend around here to get some publicity? Sheesh!

Dear Suri,
I try to buy the books of all of my friends, acquaintances, and adopted children, but I don't always read them. What if I do not find the book engaging? What if I hate it? What then?

However, I sat down, utterly intrigued by Wren and Sergei, and had a very good time with Staying Dead. I loved them and their interplay and the portrayal of my gallant and defiant city.

I suspect I am not your usual audience, but I really enjoyed this book.
