Apparently, there's been another spate of 'stray voltage' hitting people in Manhattan, with a young boy rushed to the emergency room after a mild electrical shock.

It happens, they say, possibly when bad weather hits frayed wires, or somesuch, and someone walks on a metal grate nearby.

Or a Talent, too tightly wound, lets off some current, carelessly.



Wren was busy here giving me shit about chapter four, so she's in the clear...

Boston's been having problems with dogs being shocked, or even electrocuted on sidewalks. It had stopped for a while, then there was another incident a few days ago.

That's so cool! Well, not that people are getting electrocuted, but that reality is conforming with fiction.

Yeah. There was a fatality a year or so ago, in a related incident, but they say this kid's fine, so I felt okay making the post.

Hadn't heard about the dogs, as mentioned upstream, but it's nor surprising. Four bare paws far more likely to get zapped than two, possibly with rubber soles...
