momgilman: right. Someone in my class (one of my classes, god help me) wrote a weird story and I think it's about vampires. Or a woman who is married to a vampire and has (maybe) vampire children. Or maybe she's the vampire.
evilmeer: so what's the problem?
momgilman: I'm trying to figure out what a vampire is so I know which-if not all--are the vampires.
evilmeer: again, by whose mythology?
momgilman: don't know.
evilmeer: traditional blood-drinking vampire? Psychic life-force-drinking vampire? Real life Goth blood-party vampires? Emotional vampires, in either a literal or spiritual sense?
evilmeer: All 'vampire' means is one who consumes life off the living, basically.
momgilman: who knows. Probably all of the above. I like your last explanation. I may use it.
momgilman: does a vampire have sharp teeth? Or is that a werewofl?
evilmeer: depends...
evilmeer: traditionally, yes.
momgilman: vampire? And do they dislike veggies? I thought they would eat veggies because meat is cooked too much for them.
evilmeer: I. Have. No. Idea.
evilmeer: you're talking about a mythological creation, You get to make your own rules up.
evilmeer: Although when I wrote vamps, I did get letters saying "I had it all wrong."
momgilman: oh, okay. They do disintigrate in bright light, right?
evilmeer: in most mythologies, yes.
