So, the mail brings a package from Luna.

Cover flats! Not only for BRING IT ON, but for the mass market edition of STAYING DEAD as well!
And they're lovesome things, they are.

Except...

Errors made on the first go-round of STAYING DEAD (purely stuff the buyers and salespeople see, nothing visible to the marketplace) are -- DESPITE my yowling, because I HATE seeing errors of this sort on sales material and being promised they would be deleted from the file and erased from memory -- right there in the sales push material for the mass market edition as well.

*sigh*

I know how these things happen. I know how impossible it is to ever get sales to admit that they have ANYTHING in error. Ditto marketing/publicity. But still. Jebus. People.

But it's a lovely day, and I have lovely cover flats, and some day they will be lovely books, and it's Friday and all's still okay with the world n many fronts. And my new Netflix dvd just arrived.

So. There.

*deep breath, exhale, refuses to look at faulty sales info any more*

I had similar frustration with the TP edition of GoblinQuest. Like you said, it's stuff most people won't notice. Not without reading the back cover a lot more closely than the average browser in a bookstore. But it makes me want to drive out there and lay about with a large club...

I love cover flats. I need to get my ass in gear and sell the next novel just so I can get more cover flats.

Well, no sympathy from this quarter. Because at least you *get* cover flats, which is more than we poor DownUnder fools get. Sob. Sniff.

Oh, fine. I'm sorry there was a snafu. But you know, not actually crying tears ... *g*

But you left out the absolute most important thing. What Netflix DVD did you get?

(Seriously - congrats on the cover flats - exciting!)
