Tylenol PM is an elephant tranq shaped down for the people-sized. Just sayin'....

An amusment, via Walter Jon Williams -- "Are you a proper Victorian?". I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I got a perfect score.

After not one, but three emergency food-related Q&As this weekend, it has been determined that my future cooking show will be a cross between Food 911 and Suze Ormond's call-in money show.

"suri, hi! This is Patsy. I have ten people coming to dinner next weekend, after going to a party somewhere else -- what can I serve them, after they've already gorged themslves on appetizers before?"

"hi Patsy. How did you get wrangled into agreeing to that? Anyway, here's what you do..."

The knee still hurts like a great ole' hurting thing, but less than yesterday which was less than Friday. This is of the good.

In writing news, the New Project, plus another Surprise Project, are launched into the cold, hopefully caring world. Keep your fingers crossed and candles lit for their well-being and eventual fame and fortune, folk,

And the chapter breakdown of Retrievers 4 is complete, with forces closing in on several title choices. I still love my first one, but in order to keep it I'd have to break my editor's will to mine, and I somehow don't think that's going to happen (one of the reasons we get along so well is that we're well-matched on the stubbornness side).

So, today I put on my d.y.m.k. hat, and go a'editing, yo ho ho and but why is the rum all gone?

"Are you a proper Victorian?"

I messed up a perfect score by locking the bathroom on the train.

Oh, dear. I'd be soooo polite back then, too. But then, I was raised by a Victorian father. I once complained to an editor that a certain boring person always sought me out at parties. "Why me?" I asked. She said, "Because you're too polite to tell him to go away." If that's true, I need to learn what words to use!
