Copyedit is done. Yay me! Of course, I wanted to entirely rewrite sections of it, but... (I only did two sizable rewrites and both were in reaction to a well-placed comment by the copyeditor).
Copy-edits can be horrible traumas, or they can be positive, helpful learning experiences. Once I got a misunderstanding (theirs, not mine) cleared up, this actually wasn't too bad. But that misunderstanding cost me about four work-hours. So that sucked.
I have a copyeditor in mind for the next book, though. Hopefully, they take requests.
So tomorrow I am freed to go back to book two. Which is still in dire need of a title, as nobody (not even me) liked the first suggestion.
And in other news, it's still $#@!*&@ cold. With continued forecast of $#@!*&@ freezing for the weekend. And maybe snow/sleet.
Joyous. Can I go back to London now?
