1. "Balderdash and Piffle" is a wonderful show. Much fun, highly recommended. And look! There's a book, too!

2. Christian Amazon reviews. All I can say is... oh dear.

The more I read on the Christian Amazon reviews, the funnier it seemed to get.

I think those Christian Amazon reviews you linked to are satirical.

It's interesting to see other folk believe this is satire, and as the world's best "straight-man" I ought to accept their alert. Yet I've been working with a Christian non-profit recently, and the folks thereof could have written many of these. (Please, no one should think I'm pointing fingers at all Christians, but gosh, this has been weird for me.) Hoping this IS satire.

I'd be willing to bet that it's satire. I don't know too many Christians of the sort this fellow purports to be, but the ones I do know would not:

(a) refer to Jesus' Resurrection as "coming back as a zombie"
(b) pretend to be God; or
(c) want to be a nun (the males, that is)

Points (a) and (b) are outright blasphemy to truly observant Christians, and (c) pretty much goes against the ideas of gender that the first review seems to portray.

Whoever this person is, he's a damned funny reviewer.

Possibly because of the guidance about what embarrasses God?

The Amazon reviews simply can't get as entertaining as the dead-serious CAP Alerts regarding Christian movieviewing. Wherein letting the kiddies see "Ghost Ship" is better for them then letting them see any Harry Potter movie, and in which people must be warned that the "I Robot" movie outright plagerized the so-called "laws of robotics" from "Robocop."

Oh dear GOD in heaven. What business does this MAN have criticizing a book about women's issues? And his attitudes towards menstruation, jeez, he should be shot. THIS is what the Christian Coalition is moving towards. Mainstream America should see more of this to show them what is in the future if these people continue to dominate the political scene. *sigh*
