Last night I had someone ask if they could wish me "happy channukah, or merry christmas, or blessed be it's all over, whichever you celebrate." I smiled, and wished her back the same.
A very pleasant, skirting-PC moment, as tongues were firmly in-cheek and yet friendly at the same time.
And, from the NY Times sports page, a line that makes me just so very happy: "(Dallas) Quarterback Drew Bledsoe was sacked seven times and was treated like a rag doll by a dominant Washington defensive line."
Hee.
Lord knows I rarely root for the 'Skins, but I will make an exception this one time (next Saturday, all bets are OFF). The Tuna is cooked. And I am gleeful.
In other news, have finished off a client's manuscript (waves to client), sent off two stories, and am now, for some reason, watching "Daredevil." Which isn't (yet) as bad as everyone said it was, but Lord, it ain't good.
ETA: Boomer just paused, stared at the screen for a long moment, then went back to licking himself. This movie just got dissed by my cat, man...)
In actual writing-context news.. nothing much to report. I am informed that the line edit of BRING IT ON should arrive just in time to enlighten my holidays. Joy. Hopefully, will also have permission to show off the cover at that time. (ooo look, she's taunting the readers!)

Still don't have my revisions letter; not sure how I feel about that. \\ETA: Boomer just paused, stared at the screen for a long moment, then went back to licking himself. This movie just got dissed by my cat, man...)
Ouch. That's just sad.

Date: 2005-12-20 12:51 pm (UTC)Siggy is also quite the movie critic.
He was, however, enthralled by the original version of Planet of the Apes.

Date: 2005-12-20 01:29 pm (UTC)I think I injured something watching CatWoman. The only thing positive I can say about it is that I thought Halle Berry's haircut was cute. =)

Date: 2005-12-20 03:37 pm (UTC)I subjected myself to that, but only as background noise. Even as noise, it was unwatchable. Pity -- had an interesting beginning and an almost-moment at the end...
