The Good, the Bad, and the Cold.
Dec. 17th, 2005 09:33 pmThe Good:
-The Senate told Shrub to sit down and shut up, and refused to renew several significantly objectionable parts of the so-called Patriot Act.
-The Giants won against KC, in a way that almost didn't make us suffer for it (Ti-KI! Ti-KI!) One step closer...
The Bad:
-Shrub is claiming that spying without a warrant on US citizens is all right because he says it's all right. Um. Right. Your logic is not that of legalities, Mr. President. This may not bother you. It bothers us. And we do remember how to impeach -- especially as you lose more and more of your own alleged party to reality checks.
The Cold:
Is in by node. Also in by troat, ad by ears. Can do no more tonight. Am going to bed.
ETA: The Funny: Comcast is running a political commentary without saying a word: every photo of Bush they're running to illustrate news is showing less and less of his face(starting with 3/4 of his face -- no mouth) to the point that the most recent one is only his forehead against the backdrop of a mutal of Washington.
Heh.

Date: 2005-12-18 02:58 am (UTC)I truly, truly hope he doesn't prove to, yet again, be Teflon. The Constitution isn't just a "goddamned piece of paper", and nor is the Bill of Rights. Astonishing. I just worry he's gotten to the point where he believes he's so far above the law that he's convincing the public of it, too.

Date: 2005-12-18 05:00 am (UTC)Is Comcast really doing that, or is it just a supposition? Where'd you find that out from?
