well, this (and other related) photos were in support of one scene in a story that's still fermenting in my brain. I know when it happens, I know why it hapens, I just don't know where it goes in the story (or if it will even make the story at all -- a lot of writing involves researching stuff so the writer and the character know about it, but the reader never does...)

Nah. It was a cafe, not a coffeeshop. The only scent we were inhaling was that of actual coffee...

I have ONE pic from my 2nd trip to Italy that is like the best picture I've ever taken... gonna have to dig that out now and look upon it admiringly. ;)

I added it to my screensaver. I love pictures, so long as someone else takes them and prints them.

This is not only beautiful but evocative and mysterious.

I confess, however, that I actually took the photo in this icon. Yes, it was a miracle.
