the writing life: new project

lagilmanhaving finished All Else, and gotten a thumbs up from Madame Agent on the proposal, the New Project has officially been given a file in the filing cabinet (already filled with a bunch of scribbled notes, printouts, and some x'oxes), a folder on the hard drive, and space on the bookshelf for the research books already bought and the many doubtless to come.
I pause here to pet the proposal on the head, feeling it purr under my hand, and then decide, rather than pushing forward into the next step, to accept the fact that it's been a very long, if non-writing, day, and sometimes sleep is the better part of valor....
All entries on this topic, rather than being referred to as "new project" will henceforth be known as "The Greening."
