My short story "Site Fourteen" is now available on Fictionwise.

It's a cool little story. Go'wan, you know you wanna read it....


Oh, also, got a nice reviewer mention for "Clean Up Your Room," the audio version (available at Escape Pod) "The story I am hearing is a top notch piece of science fiction....I totally feel this story - I’m not good at visualization, but I can picture this whole scene beautifully." *is quietly pleased, but admits some of the credit goes to the audio talent who voiced M.U.M. and Jessy*.


ETA: and for those who like feline updates, Pandora has (after a day of abasement on my part, and being able to sleep on my pillow all night) forgiven me, and now Boomer is doing stroll-by muggings to reassure himself that I'm really truly home and my hair tastes the same. Idiot cat.

Ooh! New story! Will have to go devour it as a reward for finishing my calc homework.

Awwww to the kitties. They love you. They really love you.

Does Boomer chew hair? Or is he like one of my old cats, who held the strong conviction that hair care products were nasty things that he owed it to the people he loved to remove from their hair? (He'd lick, grimace, and then lick faster in response to mousse, hairspray, or gel.)

Just remember that anything that goes up on Fictionwise isn't technically 'new' -- they only take reprints. But I know lots of folk don't shell out the $$ for anthologies (especially the $14 trade ones), or miss issues of magazines with the shelf life of mayflies... Fictionwise allows you to pick and choose your stories for a much more reaosnable cost.


And yes, Boomerang really does chew my hair. I think it's a form of grooming, but one I could live without. Three of the four felines groom my skin on a daily basis ("Hi, there you are, you're looking rumpled, let me fix that"), while Pandora contents herself with patting my face/arm with her paw.
