Shhh, don't tell anyone. But last night's CSI? Made me cry.

Okay, sniffle gently at the end. But still.

Without giving spoilers, last night's episode was extremely strong, even for them -- the use of the voice-over was, while not original, exceptionally well-handled. The crime was painfully stupid and real, as were the perps -- and so too were, in a lot of ways, the victims. And the team lead did his job with skill, delicacy, and absolute doggeded dedication, showing an amazing level of grace and growth since the beginning of the series.

The CSI gods must be pleased. I know I was.

I didn't even notice, other than in passing, that there was a Lack of Gris.

But there were no teasers for next week. This frets me much.

That was a brilliant episode, easily their best - to me, far stronger than "put Nicky in a box" and other more blatant ratings-grabbers. If they're going to bring on this much quality to distract us from the cutback of William Peterson, I'm going to be a very happy camper.

Rumor is that they're taking a 3-week hiatus, which is why the no teaser.

Excellent episode. I also liked the way the local cop's eyes were opened to the realities of his community.

http://www.tv.com/csi/show/19/episode_guide.html&season=6 (http://www.tv.com/csi/show/19/episode_guide.html&season=6) shows that the next new episose is 11/3/05 so that is probably why there was no preview.

Yes, I thought the script was exceptionally well done this time (not that I think CSI Classic has had any really clunky scripts that I can recall).

I watch CSI every week, but haven't been able to get into either of the spinoff series -- what about you?

Caruso bothers me, but I love the women of Miami. All of them rock.

LOVED last night's CSI. And YOU are to blame for my addiction. Well, that and being stuck in the lounge while visiting John, several times.

I did see an older one last night (I'm catching up, really) with AIDS making an appearance in it. All I can say is... um.... no? Only time I've felt the science was weak in all the shows I've watched so far.

My friend and I watch Shades of Justice...er..CSI: Miami, and make bets on David Caruso's mannerisms. You know, predicting when the shades will come off, where a Shatneresque dramatic pause will be...

As for the spin-offs vs. the original, for some reason the characters on the original are just stronger. I found it to be a problem especially on CSI: Miami, because when one of the characters was killed, I still didn't know his name and it was the third season.

Plus, I think the original has done a better job using their setting.

I agree on the women of Miami, especially Emily Procter. She's very strong.

Not to mention that Gary Sinese looks really hot swinging a katana?

Okay, so I'm shallow =P
