Speaking of, have you seen HISTORY OF VIOLENCE? I thought it was great, and it reminded me of your observation about the use of silence (or the lack of silence) in movies and TV...Cronenberg knows how to use quiet, whether underscoring a disturbing moment or a dramatic one.
