Ah, the life of a freelancer...

written much but not enough
done various and sundry research (book related, and other)
herded cats (no, really!)
made poor man's chili (and consumed same)
exercised
bitched about the weather


Forecast for tomorrow: more of the same, plus grocery shopping. Such excitement. Can you stand it?

What is "poor man's chili"? Can I have the recipe?

Not really a recipe, as such. Take ground beef. Brown it in a frying pan. Add chopped garlic, chili powder, and whatever else you have to hand, as your taste buds dictate. Add just enough tomato sauce or paste to bind the meat slightly. Continue cooking until it's a pleasing consistency. Serve. Pasta optional, but if you have any precooked, just toss it into the frying pan for the last few minutes of simmering.

Actually, that sounds like a nice day. Better than washing socks and snaking the bath tub drain.
