lagilman: coffee or die (nap attack)

Where my immediate reaction was to feel my skin sighing in relief. The small joys of there actually being moisture in the air...

The redeye was... well, a red-eye. I don't mind them too much, although if I must make a connecting flight just once I'd like them to be in the same terminal. Is that so much to ask? Also, Phoenix airport has no 'net connectivity. No wireless, no kiosks, nuthin'. WTF?

Anyway. *thud* Home. Much work to be done today. Many calls to be made. Cats to be appeased...

*waving to [livejournal.com profile] ferragus, most excellent and gracious host.* Has Skitz come out from hiding yet?

feline update:
Pandora is currently watching me from across the room, waiting for me to grovel for elaving her (and then oming home and clipping her claws)
Boomer's too tired and too overheated to do more than sprawl and stare at me in relief I'm home. Or maybe he's just heat-stoned.
Ozzy and Bou came right out, sniffed me, Ozzy licked me a few times to say "oh, right, you, I remember what you taste like" and then went to take a nap on my bed.

I'm not sure that Skitz really ever does come out of hiding. The one time I've ever seen her, standing in the doorway of Ferragus' room and eyeing me like I was an alien, she scared _me._

Poor Skitz. When Ferragus picked her up at the shelter and brought her to work she was gregarious and curious and fun. Then Millenium Philcon happened liked 2 weeks later and we spent a week in Philly and Skitz spent a week at Tom's brother's place and she has never been the same since. Maybe it was too many strangers too fast, too many moves, or exposure to Kitty who is generally pretty shy herself. But whatever the cause, Skitz hides when strangers are around. I have found that if you are very quiet, don't say a word and don't move around for a couple hours, Skitz will come out and look around. Of course the moment she realizes you are still there, she tends to bolt. *shrug*

Glad the trip went well and enjoy your few days at home before Glasgow. I regret not being able to make Glasgow, I so wanted to go.

Yup, she was out waiting to complain the moment I got back from dropping you off at the airport!

No 'net at the airport?!?! Hmm I sense a money making opportunity! I shall have to look into it. (who wouldn't pay $5-10 for an hour of wireless net, and $10-20 for wired? and I know from experience that those things are setup and forget operations... I shall investigate!)

Dropped you a bunch of mail, some of it urgent in my eyes, let me know if it's not getting through to you and I'll make a private LJ post or give you a call if nothing else is working!

Must have more visitors so that Skitz will get better used to other human beans.

Great to see you! Glad things worked out as well as they did.!

I was really startled the first few times I realized Phoenix had no WiFi. No idea what's up with that.
