Sightings, sightings...
Jun. 23rd, 2005 01:19 pmSing out if you've seen a copy of Curse the Dark in your local bookstore!
(and if it was faced out on the shelf, and if not, why wasn't it faced out by the time you left, huh?)
Just in passing, and just because, the line of the day (so far) from Bring it On...
It was, Wren thought, a really bad day when a major on-the-job screw-up took second place on her personal odd-ometer. A really, really bad day.

Date: 2005-06-23 06:32 pm (UTC)I'm just glad I called before running out to the store. I was in a really bad mood and probably would have started crying if I went and didn't find the book. Though, I'm thinking they may have actually had some copies and maybe if I had gone and cried they would have let me buy one. Dang!

Date: 2005-06-24 10:10 pm (UTC)Borders - 1 copy but it looks like there was room for two. Faced it.
Barnes and Noble - 4 copies. Bought one, faced one, and put the other two on the "summer blockbuster" table. Fantastic Four sucks a$$ anyway.
Waldenbooks - 1 copy. Moved to endcap. Screw you, Robert Jordan. Every heard the word "pacing"?
Books-a-Million - Either somewhere weird, sold, or not there, but it's a pretty crappy Books-a-Million, SF/Fantasy wise.
Getting a chuckle every two pages. Good book to read when it's 109 out and the condo's hot (temp according to the car computer...WTF, is this SOYLENT GREEN or something?)

Sightings, sightings...
Date: 2005-06-27 07:05 pm (UTC)Was last copy so wasn't able to do a face-out for that one, but did so for some other books by friends (my normal practice)
