Sing out if you've seen a copy of Curse the Dark in your local bookstore!

(and if it was faced out on the shelf, and if not, why wasn't it faced out by the time you left, huh?)

Just in passing, and just because, the line of the day (so far) from Bring it On...

It was, Wren thought, a really bad day when a major on-the-job screw-up took second place on her personal odd-ometer. A really, really bad day.

Tuesday I did an online inventory search for local Borders and one store said they had it. I called and was told they'd have it Friday. I'm working Friday afternoon and night so probably won't be able to go in until Saturday to see if it's really there.

I'm just glad I called before running out to the store. I was in a really bad mood and probably would have started crying if I went and didn't find the book. Though, I'm thinking they may have actually had some copies and maybe if I had gone and cried they would have let me buy one. Dang!

I have not gotten by any local bookshops in a while, but I did get my copy of Curse the Dark delivered from Amazon today. Am very much looking forward to curling up with it and a cup of tea this evening. :)

I picked up a copy of "Curse the Dark" today at the local BDalton's here in Northern Virginia. And several of the local Borders are showing it as being in stock.

In stock at local Borders, one copy in shelves (next to single copy of STAYING DEAD). Not faced out, either on arrival or departure -- no room.

I hit some stores before seeing LAND OF THE DEAD today:

Borders - 1 copy but it looks like there was room for two. Faced it.

Barnes and Noble - 4 copies. Bought one, faced one, and put the other two on the "summer blockbuster" table. Fantastic Four sucks a$$ anyway.

Waldenbooks - 1 copy. Moved to endcap. Screw you, Robert Jordan. Every heard the word "pacing"?

Books-a-Million - Either somewhere weird, sold, or not there, but it's a pretty crappy Books-a-Million, SF/Fantasy wise.

Getting a chuckle every two pages. Good book to read when it's 109 out and the condo's hot (temp according to the car computer...WTF, is this SOYLENT GREEN or something?)

I'm not sure MOVING the book is a good idea. I'll go to the place that the author should be, and if it's not there, will look up and down a bit to make sure it wasn't put in the wrong spot.. but i'm not going to think to look elsewhere, i'll assume there's none there and not buy it. :(

Kada - who has a hard enough time remembering the hardcovers tend to be in a different section.

Today was the street date for 'Curse the Dark' at all Borders stores. It's currently sitting on our new paperback table. So when's the next one coming out? :p

BakkaPhoenix Books in Toronto. The two filed under G were bought by a friend and I. The others in stock were faced out on the new release shelf. :-)

After today's workshop ended, we descended to the first floor of the Bryn Mawr Barnes & Noble an began the ritualistic perusing of the shelves.

Three copies of Curse The Dark were present and already faced out.

Sightings, sightings...

Saw book, bought same - Books-a-million in Reston VA

Was last copy so wasn't able to do a face-out for that one, but did so for some other books by friends (my normal practice)

Saw it at Barnes and Noble last Friday, facing out. (Only one copy on the shelf, too; I assume a stack that was beneath that copy must have sold. *g*)
