lagilman: coffee or die (dreams)

the diet, that is. Tonight, we snack on leftovers from the NYE party. Tomorrow morning, anything not being taken to the monthly poker game on Saturday goes into the trash.

I managed to get through the holiday season without going above what I consider 'acceptable" weight (yay me! Yay treadmill!), but I want to get back down to what I consider to be my ideal weight.

For those wondering, I'm at 135. Ideal is 129. Or thereabouts. I'm 5'4", short-waisted, with relatively dense bone structure. From 125-129 I still look good and have room to indulge as the occasion demands. Under 125, and strangers on the street ask me if I've been eating recently.... It helps a) that I carry my weight in the stomach and hips, which can be offset by good shoulders and straight posture, and b) that I long ago learned how to dress for my body type.

Wish me luck. And strength to resist the remains of the stinky cheeses that I can't bear to toss while we still have a houseguest who will enjoy them.

You and me both for that diet time...

I'm being kind to myself (and all those lovely food gifts I got) and waiting till Monday. Then, it's back to strict Atkins. Which I know may not work for everyone, but which for me--combined with exercise, which I will get back to over this weekend--can knock 10-20 pounds off in six weeks, no lie. I did it back in CT when I was in much worse health.

And since I'm at that "last ten pounds" stage of the diet and have the same type of short waist and relatively dense body structure configuration as you do...and may have a court hearing in two weeks depending on now negotiations go...

(evil grin) It'd be NICE to go into that hearing a few pounds thinner, you know?
