SciFi just made a terrible mistake. They showed a little more of the movie in their promos.

So. It's not just a mad scientist who creates a land-mobile shark hybrid (kradical, that's your quote-cue), but...

... it seems to be created from the DNA of his son, why was dying of a terrible disease.
... his son had a girlfriend who is clearly horrified by the results
... mad scientist wants a grandchild, too.
... mad scientist doesn't believe in in vitro fertilization, IYKWIM.

This sounds so unbearably bad I think I may have no choice to watch it -- if only to compare it to that wonder of bad DNA mutation movies, "Sssssss."

In other mental meanderings, the weather is less oppressive, which means that the felines are more active. This is a mixed blessing. Boomer has learned that it's not good to wake mommy up.. but the moment he figures out that I'm awake, I'm a primo target. And I think he's put on weight. Oooof. But Pandora is still the damned. cutest. thing. ever. Even when she's taking a half-body header into the filing cabinet...

A sekret shoutout to some folk: if the term "oooo, club chairs!" as a battle cry means anything to you? E-mail me. :-)

Okay. Enough procrastination and work-displacement. Back to wordage...

Wow - I must see this. It sounds drinking game-worthy! When's it on?

I'm thinking the only way to wrap your head around this one is to consume a LOT of cheap wine. Will you bother with a glass? =)

Okay, that sounds bad enough that I *have* to DVR it for Kev to see.

Sigh...they'll air this dreck, but decided not to air the new Doctor Who because it was, in their opinion, "of quality too low for SciFi's standards." Bah...idiots.

"Cheap" seems to be their most important quality-assessment then.

Wow, you mean someone besides me has seen Ssssssssssssssssss? Fear. I was home sick from school and it aired on TV, so I was so very out of it while watching it. *snerk*

And with this one, it's like someone said, "Dude. You know that SNL skit with the land shark? Let's make that into a movie! Only, like, let's make it serious. And horror-filled! With a chick that's a little more nubile and a whole lot less deliberately funny than Gilda Radner!"

There is a worse DNA mutation movie out there than Mansquito? *shudder*

Dave Mack and I were talking about that at lunch today, and he mentioned that the whole theme is that all the other scientists laughed at the lead who creates the monster, saying it couldn't be done, and I said, "Yeah, and it's obvious they were really only laughing at him because of that cheesy moustache...."
