“I’ve never met a Japanese fatae before. At least, not a native.” There were a lot of immigrant tribes in the New York area, and she wasn’t entirely sure about the origins of all of them.


It continues to be hot. And humid. I am sucking down iced tea and cheese-dusted popcorn at a frightening rate (the tea to rehydrate, the popcorn to replace salt). Thunderstorm, please? Or at least some thick, dark, highly-charged clouds?

There's window-unit a/c, but I tend to get sinus and throat gick when I rely on them too much (at all).

And the first time I read that, I saw, "I am designed for a cooler, dryer chocolate." My dyslexia can garner some truly funny misreads.
