Amazon goes Off-Limits

Due to Someone's bad influences, I've been checking the amazon.com numbers on my books far too often.

It stops now.

No checking pre-orders. No looking at reviews. No driving myself insane reading (trying to read) the electronic entrails.


(and yes, that goes for BN.com, too)


At least until the actual release date, anyway. *wry grin*

It's not accurate. I have your book on my wish list, but I order n $25 dollar packs, to aoid shipping charges. So I don't pre-order.

Hmm . . . I thought I was the only one who did such things. I've been checking amazon (far too much) lately just to see when my book will show up on it's listings.

Oh, we all do it. Some of us are just a tad bit more...obsessive about it, is all (looks meaningfully at Guilty Parties).

Turns out my dad is checking every morning, anyway. Every bookselling site he can think of.

Ah well. It keeps him off the streets.


(I'm pretty sure he's also writing hate mail to people who diss my books, but I can't prove anything and, really, I don't want to know...)

Oooo! I'll have to pass this on to my Mom. Especially the part about hate mail to the dissers. She can be pretty vicious when she wants to be. And it would keep her busy.

But she's probably already doing this without my knowledge. Which is really how it should be. Plausible deniability and all that.

Now to go check amazon.
