This morning, I go in for the first of several (hopefully minor) oral surgeries. Oh, joy. Then I come home, pick up a U-Haul, and start moving furniture (and felines) to my new abode (waves to new flat-mate [livejournal.com profile] paleologa). Then dinner with [livejournal.com profile] msdori who is in town for 24 hours.

Tomorrow? Deadline-day. Thankfully, was able to pull files I needed from the guts of the old laptop. Yay for tech-savvy relatives who keep tech-tinkering tools in their home office!

Thursday is Deadline-Day, take 2.

And on Saturday, it's the Revlon Run/Walk for Cancer. If you've been meaning to make a donation, there's still time! I'm only $475 shy of my goal -- I know that times are money-tough across the board, but it would be oh so sweet, in the memory of those we've lost, if we could make it...

Sunday? Sunday, I collapse, because Monday's the next and final installment of Moving Day, and then I have two days of frantic workload before I get to take a few days off for R&R and general indulgences.

Oh, and in there are the obligatory stops in at the Place of Partial Employment, because they do like to see me occasionally.

Can she make it? We shall see...

Good luck on the oral surgery. May it be not just minor, but positively trivial.

The "no-matzoh" thing truly blows. I love the stuff myself, and just picked up a box of crunchiest, snappiest Yehuda. I'll try to save some for your eventual recovery. :)

panic attack

I go catatonic, more or less, which the dentist appreciates.

I love matzo. My dad's used it as crackers for his soup and a platform for jam/jelly for decades. He'd take one of the big crackers out of the box, break it in half, crumble one half in his soup, and give the other half to me to nibble on as I waited with typical teenaged ravenousness for dinner to make its way to the table. It always confused me that the store didn't stock it with other crackers, and instead put it with a bunch of stuff whose names I couldn't pronounce, and only seemed to carry it part of the year.

Now, in light of learning I have a wheat gluten allergy, I suspect I somehow recognized it on some level as being better for me than regular bread/crackers.

Fingers crossed that your move goes as well as mine did, and that your felines recover as fast.

Mine already own the place and want to know why there's no comfy chair for them to sleep on!

Later!

This surgery. Arggh! May it be MUCH less of a hassle than mine was, and continues to be.

And I want some Serious Deep Breaths, and quiet tea, wine or cat times scheduled, woman. I just figured out from the questions the LBb specialist asked in the written pre-packet that there's a school out there that thinks that LBb/Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue are endemic and triggered by massive stress overloading the immune system. You SO do not want this disease.

And I think the Year of the Split triggered it.

(A co-worker reassured me that I did not look like a chipmunk. Eric is
very sweet, and a terrible liar.)

Are you a discolored chipmunk? That was the really scary one--a tooth extraction that bruised, I looked battered.

If they don't stitch you for wisdom tooth extraction, you form clots...long clots. Clearly, I should use this in a horror novel....
