as much as I love winter?

That's how much I really as a rule don't like summer. Especially and specifically that whole "bright hot sunlight" thing.


It's currently in the upper 80's outside. Sunshine-y. And humid, because a storm's coming in.

Draw your own conclusions on how cranky I am right now.



(although, thunderstorm would be nice, yes it would, she said thoughtfully. I've missed my thunderstorms...)

Summer is why I can't live anywhere but the Northern part of these United States. The idea of temps regulary being above 84 just makes me weep.

Not to sound unsympathetic dear, but this time of year, when the temperatures seldom exceed 90 F, isn't uncomfortable. I try not to whine until it's above 110 F.

Yes, it is a "dry heat". So is a flamethrower.

You also have lots of that bright sunshine thing, which is nice when redirected by palm trees and softened by tradewinds, but otherwise just translates directly into "migrane" for me...

Seeester!! I melt beyond 75º. HATE hot weather. Wish we could spend all of August in Scotland, not just the first week. Waah! New York's five seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer...and HELL.

LOL! I just posted in my LJ about how much I'm loving the heat. (But not the bellowing bulls.) And I'm hoping it'll stay warm this weekend, for lo, I will be up your way with Frances, who's competing in the Shakespeare competition on Monday. We will be arriving on Saturday; think we could do lunch Sunday? or dinner Monday night? Or something?

I don't mind the heat.. as long as there's rain occasionally.

How i miss the summer thunderstorms we'd have in Australia. Sometimes even freak hailstorms. lol Now THEY were fun, when it's been 110F+ for two weeks and all of a sudden there's frozen rain on the ground. :D

I like summer in small doses. Like when I want to go the beach and swim in the surf. I love swimming in the surf, can do without the beach. Can do even more without the touristy crowds. Otherwise summer is just evil. In winter I can stay warm, in summer I just roast and there is NOT A THING that can be done about it. *sigh*
