high up on the list of things I HATE
Mar. 31st, 2005 12:01 pmThe sound (and sight) of a military 'copter flying low overhead. I never wanted to know what a Black Hawk sounded like. I wanted to forget the fact that I knew.
Just sayin'
That is all.

I'm used to the sound of civilian 'coptors -- when you live near Metro NYC, you begin to recognize the difference between news 'copters, traffic reporting 'copters, Coastie transport and medevacs pretty quickly.
A Black Hawk sounds like none of those. It makes my blood run cold, and only partially because of the personal memories. I think they designed that beast to sound scary.

Date: 2005-04-01 01:32 pm (UTC)So don't you even TRY and give me that line about enlisted men's thought restrictions, 'cause I KNOW better. And wipe that innocent choirboy-regardless-of-religion-or-lack-thereof look off your face while you're at it.*evil grin*
Beleaguered. Definitely. Been there, worked that, though had no clearance to prove it.*wry grin*
BTW, may I friend you?
