(finally, the LJ equivalent of the 'safe sex' declaration!)


In other, more entertaining news, went to the $2 theater to see "Ocean's 12."

My thoughts? Great, fun movie. Lots of laughs, some delighted whoops, lots of eye-candy, and if they'd only managed to tell the story without having to resport to, well, cheating, I'd have given it two thumbs up.

With that cheat, I can only give it a single thumb. Which is a pity, as there were some really wonderful moments strung together there, and I had gleefully suspended my disbelief for the duration up until that point (specifically, the second reveal).

Let this be a lesson, girls and boys. If you can't make the story work...the story doesn't work.


Oh, and I have been informed that I have, and I quote, "anime hair." Um....

Anime hair, hunh. Yeah, a friend of mine went to get her hair cut, and then I sat her down to introduce her to anime. Thought nothing of it, until a week later she called me--after watching all the vids in a row--quite beside herself. "I figured it out! My stylist gave me anime hair! Look! Episode 2! And episode 15, 16, 17, 23...THAT'S MY HAIRCUT!"

So... you are not alone. Feel proud in your anime-hair-ness, and be aware that there are probably thousands of cosplayers out there, somewhere, who probably hate you for being if not beautiful, at least naturally anime-ful. They have to buy wigs.

Frienditto was/is a service being offered to LJ users. What it turnesout to also do is make not only your public posts searchable/archivable, but your locked post as well. And, more to my point, the locked posts of anyone you were friended by, if you had reading access to those posts. All unawares -- the 'secret' seems to have broken last night

Nasty stuff. I have too many friends who have ultra-personal things posted under lock-and-key to think of that shite as anything other than a very ugly invasion of privacy that should be taken behind the woodshed and beaten, severely. Personal privacy and the invasion thereof is a major Thing with me.


And the anime comment comes form the fact that, even when I wear my hair pulled back, these long wisps keep escaping and falling Just So over my face and eyes. Worse than anime hair -- I apparently have anime villian hair!
