*waving to everyone I saw there, including a few folk I didn't know were here!*

A good, if quiet convention -- saw a lot of folk I usually don't get a chance to do more than wave to, had a delightful turnout for my reading, moderated two panels that were SRO and got lots of kudos afterward, was part of an incredibly interesting panel on obsessions that was likewise SRO, signed many many books, and got the chance to Plot for Capclave. *evil grin* Oh, and sold a bunch of books. There're very few things more gratifying to the ego than hearing a bookseller say "yeah, people came looking and we were already sold out."

And yes, Atlanta Nights is as horrifying as you've heard. Yog and crew should be duly a/s/h/a/m/e/d /o/f/ delighted in themselves.

And now home to the felines, who are alternating between being relieved to see me and playing the "bitch, you left us" card. But nothing was damaged, and there was no note from [livejournal.com profile] paleologa saying "I quit as cat-sitter," so I guess they behaved themselves reasonably well...

And now am settling in for the winter storm that's supposed to hit us in a few hours. Anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of snow, depending on what forecast you listen to, before it turnes to sleet tomorrow morning. Or more snow, if the temperatures stay low. Joyous.

Soon as I get the pic from your reading off the camera and shrink it to a mailable size, I will send it along!

You're going to Capclave?

Glad it was a good con; I hope the winter storm doesn't turn into something too miserable. And I think Pandora hid the "I quit as cat-sitter" note. Or Boomer ate it.*grin*

I was sorry to have had to flee the Obsessions panel in midstream -- it was one of the most fascinating panels I remember at any con -- and now I have to seek out some of Barbara Chepatais' books (though I don't know...that deer heart...) -- but the Reading by a certain [livejournal.com profile] greeneyedkzin was on my 'gotta catch this' list. I'd schlepped my copy of _Staying Dead_ up to Boston withme, hoping to get it signed, but I guess I'll just have to try another time. (Can't stand this icky TV Internet hotel-room interface but I was goign through LJ withdrawal and who knows how the weather will delay Monday travellersseeking to return to the Big Apple? and their home computers?)

Glad you're back in one piece!

For the record, I didn't leave a note. Pandora was receiving visitors from her favorite under-the-bed location. Boomer met me at the door and leapt around from sofa to floor to window. He purred a lot and ate like a frickin' horse, as advertised. :)

All in all, they were well-mannered left-behind felines. The Forthcoming Integration looks to be immensely entertaining.

Also, Suri? Your bathroom smells amazing. That's in a good way, folks. Jeez.
