home from Boskone
Feb. 20th, 2005 08:20 pm*waving to everyone I saw there, including a few folk I didn't know were here!*
A good, if quiet convention -- saw a lot of folk I usually don't get a chance to do more than wave to, had a delightful turnout for my reading, moderated two panels that were SRO and got lots of kudos afterward, was part of an incredibly interesting panel on obsessions that was likewise SRO, signed many many books, and got the chance to Plot for Capclave. *evil grin* Oh, and sold a bunch of books. There're very few things more gratifying to the ego than hearing a bookseller say "yeah, people came looking and we were already sold out."
And yes, Atlanta Nights is as horrifying as you've heard. Yog and crew should be duly a/s/h/a/m/e/d /o/f/ delighted in themselves.
And now home to the felines, who are alternating between being relieved to see me and playing the "bitch, you left us" card. But nothing was damaged, and there was no note from
paleologa saying "I quit as cat-sitter," so I guess they behaved themselves reasonably well...
And now am settling in for the winter storm that's supposed to hit us in a few hours. Anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of snow, depending on what forecast you listen to, before it turnes to sleet tomorrow morning. Or more snow, if the temperatures stay low. Joyous.
