"Foreman? Wrong?"
"Kinehora." (perfect timing, that, and such a double joke for the yiddish speakers in the audience...)
"Of course, in Swedish, the word friend can also be translated as 'limping twerp.'
"Grab some scalpels and settle this like doctors."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought we were having a state the obvious contest."
All the usual great lines, wound up and around a really tough, really touching story. Brain melting fevers/ice baths. Only someone who's been there knows how accurate that scene was. Trust me. It was accurate. And the look on Foreman's face was... ow.
Plus, it was a story that didn't focus entirely around House. Good. Love Dr. House but he can't be the lynchpin all the time. The team's starting to mesh (down to the "s/he's a shmuck but s/he's our shmuck" protectiveness toward, well, all of the team members, actually.), and folk, we've got an ensemble cast that's beginning to remind me not of ER, but of M*A*S*H.
And, damn, I didn't see the final diagnosis coming, at all. And I should have.
In other news, on the news tonight they're talking about a two-foot-long American 'gator with eighty teeth and a peevy attitude who was found abandoned. "Nobody knows where it came from, or why it was abandoned."
Um, dude. Because it's a two foot gator with eighty sharp teeth? Just a guess, but...

Date: 2005-02-09 03:14 am (UTC)I called it at the ice bath, and was very pleased with myself. Although when they were talking about ovarian masses, I first thought "ectopic pregnancy."
